About US
Welcome to the website for Lancaster University Ballet Society.
We are a small society on campus, with our members, all sharing a passion for ballet.
Our society is open to all abilities, from complete beginners to those who have been ballet dancing for the majorty of their life. The classes are relaxed, fun and a chance to enjoy some ballet classes at University.
Ballet as become more popular recently, as not just a form of dance but as a form of exercise, working all muscles, strengthening and toning them. Our classes aim to be an enjoyable and alternative form of exercsie but also incorporate an element of relaxation, chance to meet new people and learn the correct technique from a proffesional ballet teacher.
The society runs two classes each week, one ballet class run by a male proffessional teacher and the other a fitness and flexibility class run by the societies executive members.

The President of the Ballet Society for this academic year of the University. Has been a part of the society for two years and this year will be going into the third. Studying English Literature at Lancaster University and going into the final year. Been ballet dancing for 8 years and plans to continue for many more!!

The Health and Safety Officer for this academic year of the University. Has been part of the society for the past year and will be entering second year as part of the society this coming year.

MEEt our teacher
Ballet Teacher
George Adams
Our ballet teacher has been teaching all of our classes since we started the society. George is trained in contemporary dance, but is qualified to teach ballet and is one of few teachers in Lancaster. The lessons combine ballet and contemporary dance styles together, aiming to improve technique and performance skills, as well as a lot of fun for the society.
